Vicente Aguirre was Argentine footballer, (January 22, 1901 - June 11, 1990), very prominent in the history of Club Atlético Central Córdoba and Newell's Old Boys, well remembered for the twenties and thirties for his goalscoring ability, ability and skill for soccer.
Club career
editIn 1916, when he was fifteen years old, he started playing football in the lower divisions of Rosario Central. First he joined the team of the fourth division and then, in 1917, he was champion of the third division tournament. In the final match of that category, Aguirre scored two goals in the extra time that gave the team a 3: 1 victory against Gimnasia y Esgrima.
In the center of Rosario came to play a single game at the beginning. This happened in the Nicasio Vila Cup 1917, in the triumph auriazul by 7 to 1 against the Provincial Club. That Sunday afternoon, May 6, he served in his position as a leftist initiate. The objectives of the scoundrel were pointed out by Harry Hayes (4), Ennis Hayes (2) and José Clarke. With the Charrúas he won the 1931 Preparation Tournament and the Governor Luciano Molinas Tournament in 1932, these being the first 2 official titles in the history of the club.
International career
editAs a player of the Argentinian team, he made 4 appearances for the National Team, winning 4 goals with him, three of them in the same game in Montevideo (Copa América) in 1923, when Argentina defeated Paraguay by 4 to 3.
