The Libya Herald is an English-language newspaper based in Tripoli, Libya. It was launched on 17 February 2012 and currently publishes news through its website, though it claims a print edition is "expected to appear soon".[3] Its founder, Sami Zaptia previously worked for the state-owned Tripoli Post for ten years but resigned upon the outbreak of the Libyan civil war, frustrated at the Gaddafi regime's strict censorship.[1]
