I am Greg Smith, from New Jersey in the (USA). My education includes both B.S. (MIT) and Ph. D. (NU) degrees in chemistry (focus on inorganic and organometallic chemistry). Currently I am employed as a marketing director for a fuel cell technology company. In addition to my vocational interests in chemistry, fuel cells, energy and catalysis, my personal interests include chess, casual astronomy, and Tae Kwon Do.

That should provide a general idea of where I expect to contribute to Wikipedia and associated wiki projects.

My work

I expect to primarily work on improving existing chemistry articles rather than starting new ones. I agree with Martin Walker that there are some sub-standard articles in this area.

As I gain familiarity with Wikipedia, I plan to participate in the Chemistry Wikiproject , the Chemicals Wickproject as well as the Elements Wikiproject. Email or talk to me if you want to suggest other projects I should participate in.
