The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) is a UK-based charity and membership association that promotes education and research in ultrasound and related imaging within the field of obstetrics and gynecology.[1] The Society also publishes the monthly journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.[2] The object of the Society is "the protection and preservation of health by promoting the science of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology and education therein for the benefit of the public".[3] ISUOG currently has approximately 3,300 members in 100 countries.[4]

ISUOG was set up in 1991 by a group of obstetricians and gynecologists including founding President Professor Stuart Campbell.[5] The current President of the Society is Gianluigi Pilu.[6] ISUOG is directed by a Board and Executive Committee, and has a number of different committees.[7] Current Board and committee members include Tom Bourne[8], Josh Copel[9], Rabih Chaoui[10] and Kypros Nicolaides.[11]
