Peach Fur was formed in 2015 on the Gold Coast, Australia.[2] The band quickly gained a following due to their distinctive sound and engaging live shows. Earth Radio Album

Earth Radio (2023) is the debut studio album by indie-fusion band Peach Fur, released following a series of EPs since their 2015 debut Pleasures & Necessities. The album explores a wide range of genres including jazz and disco, diverging from their previous works while retaining their core sound.[8][9] The concept behind Earth Radio imagines extraterrestrials sampling Earth's musical genres. The lead singles Yummy and Sun Rays received positive reception, showcasing the band's growth and willingness to experiment. The album's release marked a significant milestone in Peach Fur's career.[8]

Touring

Peach Fur has toured extensively throughout Australia and Europe.[10] They have performed at numerous festivals, including Spilt Milk, and headlined various venues, known for their energetic and captivating performances.[11] In 2022, they were featured as the Unearthed Feature Artist by Triple J and performed at the Spilt Milk festival.[12]

Notable Performances

One of the band's most memorable performances was at the Spilt Milk festival, where they faced significant sound issues but managed to deliver a remarkable show despite the challenges.[13] Another highlight was their headline performance at an epic night of rock music in Warwick, showcasing their ability to engage and energise large crowds.[14]

Awards

Peach Fur won the Live Act of the Year at the 2021 Gold Coast Music Awards.[15][16] The band also won the triple j Unearthed’s Spilt Milk competition in 2022.[17]
