Early Life edit

This is the flag of my country, Honduras. It contains five stars that represent the original five countries that composed Central America.

I was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on May 15, 1999. Honduras is a beautiful country with a lot of touristic spots, including Mayan Ruins, beautiful beaches, and natural parks. I have a twin sister and an older brother. While living in Honduras, I participated in various activities, such as dancing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, CrossFit, and boxing. I moved to the United States at the age of 18 to get my undergrad bachelor’s degree.

Current Life edit

Currently, I am a student at Marquette University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Neuroscience. I am part of different clubs and organizations at Marquette including the Society of Women Engineers and the Caribbean Island Student Organization.

This is an example of what Biomedical Engineers do in a Bio Physiology Lab. In this case, they are using electrocardiography devices to analyze the heart's electrical activity.

Future Plans edit

After graduating, I aspire to work in companies such as Medtronic, Boston Scientific, GE Healthcare, etc. I am still deciding whether I want to go to grad school to obtain a master’s in Neural Engineering or start working as a Field Engineer after graduation.
