WIkipedia:Esperanza/User Page Award

edit

Hello, Shreshth91. This is a quick message to remind you that all 5 finalists for the Esperanza User Page Award have been chosen. You now need to judge those 5 pages, awarding each one 1-10 points for attractiveness, usefulness, interesting-ness and general niceness. Refer to the Scores section at the project page if you are unsure of how to score.

Once you have scored the 5 pages, email Banes using the specified format. As soon as all the scores have been tallied, a winner will be announced. Thanks. -Shreshth91 16:30, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

FR/DP/FD of India FAC

edit

Hi Shreshth - what is your feeling on going for another FAC? I can help you in preparing the article. Cheers! Rama's arrow 01:57, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I can start working immediately, and it will be reasonable to aim for an FAC next Monday. I'll need your help during the weekend though, that's all. Rama's arrow 16:51, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
As you said, the main problems are copyediting and the prose. I'll endeavour to fix them, but I need you to analyze the article from a fresh point of view in the weekend, check if my edits are ok and set up the FAC if you feel all is well. Go over the former FAC and see if there is an intrinsic problem that you are better equipped to fix. You did an excellent job in making the article comprehensive in data, but there were some concerns about the criticism and analysis section. Rama's arrow 12:43, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lol well done. :) Being mouseless is a big deal... About the UPA, I am yet to receive the last result, so, I am going to drop the judge a line and try to move things along. I have been offline for a couple so I haven't really been around. Regards (and get a mouse :P) -- Banes 10:18, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ah wireless. I also have wireless, and it drives me crazy when I run out. Thanks for the welcome :) -- Banes 13:25, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well there isn't really a process, and, seeing as you are very active and competant with the project, you'd be most welcome to become an overseer. :) It seems you've been bold and added your name already, so that's sorted. The program was originally founded by Rune Welsh, me, and KOS (who did more than any other) and was planned for 3 overseers, and, due to time constraints, I am going to step down as one, so it'd be great to see you fill the spot. So, welcome, you are now one of the "heads"/overseers. :) Keep up the good work! -- Banes 19:12, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Greetings, Shreshth91. The judges would like to announce that the winner for the Esperanza User Page Contest has been chosen. Congratulations to Kylu for winning the contest. The winning entry can be found here.

Yo Shreshth - I think I'll get a few chances this weekend to copyedit the article. Its my main priority but I don't think I can complete it this weekend. We'll need to push up going to FAC by at least a couple of days. I'm sorry about that, but let's definitely get started this weekend. Rama's arrow 02:44, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re:FAC

edit

Dude, you're the fellow who's been missing! But yes, let's focus our efforts to prepare the article for FAC by the end of Sunday. I will begin work on it tomorrow (was busy with Darjeeling and Ahmedabad this week). I haven't lost my focus, but I will need you to be around as much as you can this weekend. Let's finish the job, Rama's arrow 04:39, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

the last time, the FAC was closed just as Sundar and I had finished addressing many of Tony's objections. The thing we need to work on is the prose (sentences, grammar). Consider analyzing each para nice and slow, and rewrite sentences as need be. I'll be using the same technique. Cheers, Rama's arrow 04:41, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
