MK Blades is a British company established in 1946, that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and selling of blades for ice skaters.

The company is headquartered in Sheffield, England a metropolitan borough in South Yorkshire. Sheffield gained an international reputation in the 19th century for steel production.

MK Blades is owned by parent company HD Sports who owns both John Wilson and its sister company John Wilson. Engineers Hattersley & Davidson (est. 1894) acquired the firm in the early 20th century and further developed MK Blade's reputation for innovation.

Range and Technology
MK produces a wide range of blades for dance, freestyle and traditional dance. In 2004 MK debuted its Parabolic technology.

The Parabolic blade contains a unique curvature and mid-section tapering designed to create less drag as a skater moves across the ice.

In 2010 MK brought out their brand new Revolution blades. The Revolution blades combine a tradition steel blade with carbon composites that provide wright reduction and flexibility.

The technology was designed to provide skaters with a blade then helps them move at increased speeds and achieve higher jumps with greater control to reduce the risk of injury.

For over 60 years all European, World and Olympic Ice Dance Championships have been won on MK blades.
