Who is this man? It's SFDan edit
I square dance and am a founding member of Mermaid City Squares, Copenhagen's gay square dance club, which is now defunct. We were the first European member club of the IAGSDC, the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs. I am interested in increasing the awareness of and in promoting gay square dance in Europe.
I am currently dancing C3A/C2 level at Granny's Square Dance Club in Sorø, and at a private tape group in Albertslund, Denmark.
I have also taken classes in square dance calling, but am not practicing, so I am very rusty. I have previously taught country-western dance-- western line dance and couple dancing (two step, waltz, shuffle, etc.)-- in San Francisco, as well as tap dancing in Chicago. I have choreographed for the stage for the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus, and have directed a series of shows for the Razzle-Dazzle Production Company, Chicago.
When I am not dancing (or any of the other stuff listed above) I work in the IT department of a large international financial corporation, as a system analyst/requirements manager/software architect, and am in training to coach/mentor colleagues in requirements management according to our company's implementation of RUP, the IBM Rational Unified Process.
I also enjoy puttering in the yard, making delicious food, listening to music, traveling, reading and otherwise enjoying the good life with my sweetie, Aksel.
