editLibertarian socialism is another term for socialist anarchism by anarchists who don't wish to use the term "anarchist," in order to avoid the association of violence with the term "anarchist." "Libertarian" traditionally meant "anarchist" before being defined to mean support for liberty in general. Therefore some socialist anarchists today wish to continue using the term in the traditional sense.
