The issue of hatnotes being a poor fit for name clarification has come up repeatedly. This section of the documentation links to the most recent big discussion in 2022, which itself links back to the 2011 discussion and others.

Fixing all-caps titles in CS1 references

Per the CS1 documentation, As with trademarks, Wikipedia does not attempt to emulate any stylistic flourishes used by the cited source's publisher, such as ALL-CAPS. However, there are still many references with all-caps titles, harming readability. I would like to see a bot that goes through these to change them to title case.
