editMarlei-Krizelle Bondoc Martinez (Born: Sept 15 1989) is an award winning multimedia journalist currently studying Broadcast Journalism at the S. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
Biography
editEarly Life
editMarlei was born at Clark Air Base, a now retired US Air Base in the Philippines to Mark Martinez and Leilani. She is the oldest of three kids, Mark and Michael. Her father retired a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and continues to work as a citizen employee. Her mother, Leilani currently manages hotels in the greater Atlanta area.
During Martinez's school years she traveled around the world following her father wherever he was stationed.
New Media
editMartinez has become a strong proponent of New media with an emphasis on Social media utilizing sites like Facebook and Twitter as well as managing her own website.

editShe is currently employed by ABC News London bureau. Currently works for CONNECT TV, a WYPX-TV affiliate. Marlei interned for WMAZ-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.
Honors
editMartinez received an award of excellence from the Journalism Education Association in 2006. Martinez also maintains a spot on the Dean's List at Syracuse University.
