Timothy J. Robinson
Tim Robinson (Full name: Timothy John Robinson - McCallum CAPTAIN SS SFAO PPL) is a state-wide known Senior Scout, who, with many years of experience has climbed the ranks to become a Senior Patrol Leader. Born on 21/1/1994 at John Hunter Hospital at the exact time of 9:23pm he now lives in his small hometown of Mayfield, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. He is currently in Year 12 at Callaghan College Jesmond Senior Campus.
Education
Timothy John Robinson - McCallum CAPTAIN SS SFAO PPL started his education in a small Pre-School at Mayfield East. He moved out to Belmont & started Kindergarten there, when half way through the year, his parents decided it would be best to move back to Mayfield, where Timothy was brought up in, to continue Kindergarten in the middle of the year.
Now successfully completing Kindergarten, he went on to Year 1 right through to Year 6. He now had to leave year 6 & go to High School. Timothy has completed his Schooling at Callaghan College Waratah, and has moved on to Callaghan College Jesmond to complete his High School Certificate. Completing his First Year at Callaghan College Jesmond in Year 11, and TAFE, Timothy is now in Year 12. At the end of 2011, Timothy shall receive his Certificate from TAFE as a Coxswain's Mate in Maritime Operations.
Early Life
Timothy grew up with his also well-known friend, Alex Morris, of whom he has known since birth. Together, they have braved up through things with each other like, getting in fights, being lost etc. When Timothy & his parents moved away, he lost some contact in having 'Play Days' with Alex. But when he moved back to Mayfield, everything went back to normal. Alex does not go to the same school as Timothy, but they still have a lot of contact with each other, through talking on their mobiles, messaging on MSN & even sleeping at each others house. Timothy made some new wonderful friends at Mayfield West Demonstration School, one of them being Ben Hall & Kain Allan. Ben Hall has been Timothy's best mate since the very start of Timothy's arrival back to Mayfield. Timothy & Ben have gone through all the same years together, from Kindergarten to Year 10. Kain Allan also became good friends with Timothy right from a young age, as Timothy's mother knew Kain's mother very well. Their mothers have known each other since they were their sons' age.
Involvement With Karate
Timothy first tried out Karate when he was about 7 Years of age. He tried it out for about 10 or so months, but sadly, he then quit doing it.
Involvement With The Cubs, Scouts & Then The Cubs Again
Soon after Timothy had given up doing Karate, his mate, Kain, was doing Scouts & had only been doing for a few weeks.He knew Timothy might like it since he had given up on Karate. Timothy enjoyed doing Cubs every week on a Monday night. Timothy now 8 Years of age, loved being out side in the open air, camping with just a stove & a sleeping bag. So did Kain. Timothy enjoyed it so much, that soon he was promoted from being just an ordinary Cub, to become an Assistant Cub Sixer. Later on, he moved on up to the next level, which was Scouts, & he started at the very bottom of the ranks. He liked being in Scouts, because he got to do more things, which were more adventurous & dangerous. He attended the 21st Australian Jamboree for two whole weeks camping in a tent, living hard.
Throughout his first few years, with much help from his Scout Leader, he became an Assistant Patrol Leader, which is a kind of big responsibility. Then, proving he could do better, he then became a Patrol Leader, leading boys & girls into the wild terrain. With another experienced Scout being a Patrol Leader, he was a lower ranked Patrol Leader, while Timothy was a higher ranked Patrol Leader. This meant that, not only the other Patrol Leader looked after his Patrol, Timothy now had to look after his own Patrol, plus the other Patrol too.
With lots of training & help, Timothy became a Junior First Aid Officer, then about a year later, did another, harder course, & then he was now a Senior First Aid Officer. While on a Patrol Activity camp to achieve his Red Cord, Timothy had to run a full sized camp, without the help of a Scout Leader. He did so perfectly, at the Milk Bottle Boat Race. On the second night, a massive storm came in on them at about 1am. Timothy was now full awake then, as he wasn't even in bed yet, but was up at the toilets. He came back to his camp site to find tents had been blown over & such. Many Scout Groups packed up & left, but Timothy was told by another Scout Leader to either leave or stay. Knowing how much he need his Red Cord, he stayed, prepared to fight out the storm. He fought it while people fled out & into the Great Hall up on the high land. Timothy & his group stayed behind to help other groups get to dry land, with water now up their ankles, they went from tent to tent & group to group, searching for any more people. When they got back to the Great Hall, everyone clapped & cheered at their bravery.
Soon after, Timothy received a plaque & a medal, which was presented to him by the Chief-Governor General Scout Boss for his courage & bravery as he showed in the deadly storm. His group also got small medals for also helping their Patrol Leader. Sadly, in the few ending months of 2008, Timothy had to plan his retirement from Scouts. So on his & the other Patrol Leaders last night, they were given a massive cake saying farewell, good luck in later life. He soon got some paper work about being a Cub Leader. He had to be 15 to apply for it, & he turned 15 in the holidays. He accepted the offer to be a Cub Leader. he is currently an Assistant Cub Leader In Training, with 10 young Cubs to teach. But, once again, he will have to retire at the end of 2009, as he is once again, getting very busy. Timothy has been apart of the Scouting Movement for over 7 Years now, soon making the end of this year 8 Years in the business. He is well-known with many Scout Groups in many parts of New South Wales, e.g. Sydney, Maitland, Dubbo, etc.
