The Barnstar of Diligence
For doing what I should have in saving an article from an untimely deletion.
Aprils fools day was a blast. Loads of users lightened up to have good old fashion fun. I want to thank you for taking part in editing this page in particular and even though I may not know you, embrace the same talk pages, or even edit with you in the near future, I'd like to award you this Barnstar for making Wikipedia a fun environment in which to contribute. Until next year. :) SynergeticMaggot (talk) 13:37, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

This is just plain funny...and too painfully accurate. The reason I work around here: the simple, but Sisyphean, goal of making accurate information (particularly regarding science) available to anyone interested.
Sadly, not a single vandalization of this userpage has proved to be pithy or even remotely interesting...
