Stem Cell tourism Is an Internet-based industry in which non-FDA approved stem cell procedures are advertised to patients as a “cure”, often resulting in a patient traveling, most often overseas, to undergo experimental interventions These procedures are completely unproven yet they are presented as a cure. Although the term tourism implies that patients often travel overseas in recent years, there has been an explosion of clinics in the United States offering these services.
