Scheherazade Safla is a former South African television news anchor who now resides in Qatar with her husband and two children.
Early life and education edit
Safla was born on August 10th 1979 in Johannesburg South Africa. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Communication and postgraduate degree in Communication, Culture and Media studies.
Career edit
After University, Safla moved to England where she worked for Channel 5 tv, that's where her love for tv began, but upon returning to South Africa a year later, she worked as a newspaper journalist eventually starting her tv news stint in 2002. In almost ten years in tv, she worked as a tv reporter, executive producer and finally a news anchor, a role she remained in for five years.
