When thinking about the adminship process, what are your thoughts and opinions about the following areas:

  1. Candidate selection (inviting someone to stand as a candidate)
I don't know much about the process now, but my experience with admins has been pretty mixed. Sometimes they're very helpful, other times it feels a little bit like the Stanford prison experiment, they're in a position of power and they start playing that role. Apparently there's also one with a diaper fetish.
  2. Administrator coaching (either formally or informally)
    A very good idea.
  3. Nomination, co-nomination and self-nomination (introducing the candidate)
    No opinion.
  4. Advertising and canvassing
I don't know exactly what this means, but it sounds like a horrible idea wrt adminship.
  5. Debate (Presenting questions to the candidate)
If it used more as a educational process and less to humiliate potential admins, it's probably good.
  6. Election (including providing reasons for support/oppose)
It's like with the AfD process, I don't trust voting but I also don't trust a single admins/bureaucrats to be objective. There's not an easy answer.
  7. Withdrawal (the candidate withdrawing from the process)
Seems like they should have to right.
  8. Declaration (the bureaucrat closing the application. Also includes WP:NOTNOW closes)
As long as there is a review process if it's used maliciously.
  9. Training (use of New Admin School, other post-election training)
    Good idea.
  10. Recall (the Administrators Open to Recall process)
    Also a good idea.

When thinking about adminship in general, what are your thoughts and opinions about the following areas:

  1. How do you view the role of an administrator?
A lot like a user, except responsible.
  2. What attributes do you feel an administrator should possess?
Less of a power-trip and more of a public servant.

Finally, when thinking about Requests for Adminship:

  1. Have you ever voted in a request for Adminship? If so what was your experience?
    No.
  2. Have you ever stood as a candidate under the Request for Adminship process? If so what was your experience?
    No.
  3. Do you have any further thoughts or opinions on the Request for Adminship process?
It seems like a horrible thing to put someone through.
