School Social Worker Policy, Practice, and Research This is a seventh edition guide to social work in schools, and is still the most comprehensive guide to social work. This book emphasises evidence-based practices, and a more in depth look at diversity. There are two new chapters in this book focusing on the history of African-American education, and working with children who are more vulnerable in the United States. As well as maintaining up to date topics, the book also focuses on a variety of group, and individual work. School Social Work reflects current education matters. State licensing organizations use this book as a resource. The Illinois Association of School Social Workers and the School Social Workers Association of America, both assist school social workers.
