Introduction edit

Music gives an immense sense of comfort and peace is always or mostly related to piano music. the instrument piano. The word piano is a shortened form of pianoforte, the Italian term for the early 1700s versions of the instrument, which in turn derives from gravicembalo col piano e forte[1]. Therefore learning with music helps in Music learning supports all learning. Not that Mozart makes you smarter, but it’s a very integrating, stimulating pastime or activity,” [2] Music as a subject in itself a highly demanding subject as it comprises of music theory and practical lessons. Most research studies include music as the basic part of the curriculum as it helps students who are musically inclined to develop or sharpen their skills in an effective manner, this by doing so enables children to obtain a sense of creativity through repeated practice and continual interest. in this review I have covered some articles and research papers that have described the effective enhancement of teaching and learning science through music , throughout most research studies that have been conducted the primary aim of teaching is to understand the requirement of the learner and the overall need of the learner thereby enabling the student to garner the potential through a better mode of learning through innovative modes of teaching. The current generation is fixed toward the internet and has overall access to data which is at their fingertips and moreover a click away, therefore teachers need to find creative means to engage the student to learn the difficult subjects like science, maths. The fact that effective pedagogy instills a better learning style and thereby allows the teacher as well as the student and the class to progress together in a holistic manner. Therefore, the need for science to be made easier interesting is all dependant on the teacher, the music field comprises of various genres and working styles, that correlate to the learning style

Researchers have also found that songs have a powerful connection and can be used as simple mnemonic devices to improve recalling and a strategy to encode, retrieve and rehearse information[3].In music, lyrics and melodies are chunked together into patterns of rhythm and verse to enable longer passages to be retained in memory.it was found meaningful that can be encoded in long-term memory. Music helps memory and the beat, melody, harmony together serve as carriers for the content and therefore easier to recall[4]The most important implication for learning from the field of neuroscience involves the activation of emotions when learning. Scientists in the neuroscience field have unlocked the mystery of why music activates emotion the listener develops familiar patterns based on experiences gained due sensory process and schema t.

There is a never-ending cycle of listening and predict, listen and predict, as a musical piece is played or sung. Music thereby creates assumptions and anticipates them and the listener creates expected patterns [5].As [6]mentions that music is one of the most widely used and most accessible forms of pop culture, it is rich in leadership content and channelizes flexibility that meets the individual learning needs. It also influences all cultures to be it either in age, gender, race, trends, race or even socio-economic background. This music thereby reflects the trends and attitudes of society. This review article also gives insight into the better ways of teaching subjects through music. It begins with the identification and analysis of the student audience, ensuring proper equipment to play music in the classroom, use the music to complement and support the lesson that is built, selection of music with key points that enables proper reinforcement with the lesson objectives , preparing handouts as a guide a student discussion, reflection enabling the class to remain focused and allowing the specific element to be connected with music and related to the content.

By using science as an effective instruction science song can be used to introduce new content by asking questions related to the theme of songs presented in the engagement phase of instruction. Lyrics can be used to design experiences to build better understanding of science concepts when conceptual development occurs at the stage of teaching, students, on the whole, make sense of new content ideas and connect them to science content thereby generating ideas providing deeper thoughts that build networks of understanding in the final stages of instruction analyzed as one of a series of experiences designed to build understanding of science concepts during the conceptual development stage of teaching. Students can now connect content with new ideas and the music created can bring about new insights and theories with that of building a larger network and use the music learned by application and processing change in the conceptual realm with more steps in facilitator instruction and their sequence in the teaching and learning process.[7].
