The National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS/U) is an accredited institution that offers Bachelor of Science Degree Completion programs, Master of Science degrees and Doctor of Business Administration degrees in both on-line and in-residence formats at sites nationwide. NGS/U programs are delivered throughout the country in a highly interactive format by faculty practitioners who combine real-world experience with academic excellence.

Additionally, NGS/U is committed to stewarding, contributing to, and advancing the body of knowledge in the areas of Quality Systems Management, Six Sigma practices, Homeland Security, Integrated Health Systems and Environmental Quality Policy through its research, publications, and programs.

NGS/U graduates in all programs measurably improve their organizations through work related projects that demonstrate tangible results and benefit both the students and their employers. All NGS programs are designed for delivery in an accelerated format in order to accommodate the schedules of students who are also working full-time.

The Bachelor of Science Degree Completion is a 12 month, 10 course program that enables students to earn the majority of the 60 upper-level (junior and senior) courses necessary for the Bachelor of Science degree. All enrollees must have an associate degree (or an equivalent 60 credits of lower-level courses). Curriculum includes an “experiential learning” portfolio that requires students to complete a Prior Learning Assessment worth 15 additional upper-level credits.

The Master of Science degree program is presented in two formats. One is an accelerated 12 month program and the second is a dual-credential program completed in 16 months in which students receive both the Master of Science degree as well as a Lean Six-Sigma certificate. A distinguishing feature of both formats is the substitution of a team-based, work-related project of significant result (the master’s business project or MBP) which replaces the conventional master’s thesis. In order for a student to graduate, the project’s supervisor of “champion” must validate and formally attest to the school that results have been achieved.

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program is a 24 month, 60 credit program and is delivered in a “low residence” format. NGS doctoral programs are offered in two phases. The first requires the completion of 16 courses as well as the identification of a Doctoral Project. Phase two encompasses an intensive six-month period of project validation and results verification under the close supervision of a Faculty Doctoral Team.

NGS/U degrees are available in Quality Systems Management or Homeland Security & Defense and degree specializations (similar to a minor) are available in Homeland Security & Defense, Integrated Health Systems and Environmental Quality Management.
