This editor is a WikiGnome.

I like to edit grammar, punctuation, and spelling. I also repair tables and links. Sometimes I look at word choices or usage, and I may make a distinction between the connotation and the denotation of certain grammatical constructs. Seldom do I feel competent to change content; I would leave a note in an article's discussion page if the facts were cloudy or doubtful.

Here, I've collected a few links just to make them easy for me to find. These are things I don't want to go 'round the moon searching for.

Vertical Align table cells — Being a WikiGnome means you enjoy making minor edits — correcting punctuation, grammar, and spelling, and adjusting display properties. Often I tidy up tables, especially by top-aligning cells. To my eye, it's easier to read a table row if it's straight across.

Easy and quick table-row edit:

  • Start to edit the page and then copy the table block to a desktop text editor.
  • Mass change every occurance of |- to |-valign="top". (That is a Pipe character and a hyphen (|-) and it's the wikitable markup for a table row.)
  • Then put the table block back into the wiki page.

This is a minor edit. Please! Preview the results of your editing before saving the changes.
