I make random and mostly minor copy edits as the mood strikes. I believe this is one of the worst ways to edit anything. To maintain the structure and focus of any article, subject or section, it's better to make comprehensive wholesale section edits and page edits. Unfortunately, these are dangerous to make these days—almost every entry seems to be jealously guarded by somebody who views other editors with suspicion, if not as actual adversaries, and evaluates information not according to its clarity and accuracy but to its imagined potential as a tool of propaganda.

When the editor has faith in readers' ability to detect bullshit when they see it, such concerns fade into the background.
