Education in Baardheere
The largest district in Gedo Region is fortunate to have 2 high schools (HIRDA and Markabley) and three tertiary education institutions. And these are University of Gedo, Bardera Polytechnic and Bardera Islamic College.
Much of the educational activities have started a decade after the start of the Somali Civil War of 1991. HIRDA, Markabley Foundation, SEHO, SADO that supports Markabley foundation, HAREDA and SDF fund all the educational services in Baardheere.
