In its 4 years, the number of working models & participants have steadily increased. Idea of Dipex was crystallized with experience. It became the state level forum of polytechnic students. The working models exhibited show rare combination of innovativeness , creativity good craftsmanship & potential for shop-floor production.
  • 1990-93 Continuous rise in response by students all over Maharashtra. Project guides i.e. teachers from respective polytechnics started interacting with Dipex organising committees. Involvement of teachers began. Director of technical education (Maharashtra) visited & considering its importance, gave continuous support to Dipex. Industrialist were surprised by the quality of projects, concept & feasibility. Overwhelming response of industrialists help Prize winners to start their own venture, a certain step towards entrepreneurship of self-employment
  • 1994-97 Agriculture : A new section was added to involve agriculture students. Another new section for non-conventional energy sources added. To respond to growing demand of degree engineering students and postgraduate students SHODH, a new section started which deals with appropriate technology for Indian circumstances. Seminars ,entrepreneurship motivation & development programs started from this year.
  • 1997-2000 Consolidation phase started. Project assessment group (PAG) was formed and now all entries have to go for very stringent conditions PAG before allowing them to enter as a contestant.Strict selection procedure is adopted to limit the number of entries & increase quality control. Added new competition called Srijan IIT,degree Engineering and P.G. Students.
  • 2000-2002 Natural phase of expansion with a theme 'Applicability of the project in practice and its Feasibility as a product in market, new section of Information Technology & Biotechnology was added. Also to provide information about the great Technological achievement by public Sector & private sector companies & individuals, a new section called Success Stories of Bhartiya Technology was started. M.S.R.D.C., Konkan Railway, Siemens, KV.I.C. Krishna Khore Vikas Mahamandal were participate in Dipex at Thane. Seminars on I.T. for Bharat , Ideas in Appropriate Technology, Talk with First generation Entrepreneurs were organised.
  • 2003 Dipex was arranged at two places in Maharashtra at Solapur & Dhule .600 entries were received out of which 285 were selected to exhibit in Dipex.
  • 2004 Dipex was arranged at NANDED. 232 projects & 11,000 students from 79 colleges participated in Dipex.
  • 2013 Dipex is organized this year at College of Engineering Pune (COEP) ground from 06th March to 10th March which is the 25th Silver Jubilee DIPEX.
