2024-05-14 01:55 Chris Ifediora (Nigerian medical practitioner and educator) Does not appear to meet the WP:GNG. Clear COI issues as per the article's edit history and the main contributor has been blocked. Notwithstanding that, the sources used in the article are mostly routine coverage and/or self-published sources. Until Ifediora's career advances further and/or there is further coverage of his charitable foundation, I don't see a basis for an article. (ITBF)

2024-05-08 09:30 Baldwin Island (island in the Chemung River in Chemung County, New York, United States) Fails WP:NATFEAT. "Named natural features are often notable, provided information beyond statistics and coordinates is known to exist. [...] If a Wikipedia article cannot be developed using known sources, information on the feature can instead be included in a more general article on local geography. For example, a river island with no information available except name and location should probably be described in an article on the river". The small island seems to be of little significance, with no hope of expanding it to an encyclopedic article. (Geschichte)

Which isn't true. This was a grange district and later an election precinct. People would travel to the post office to get their mail, and so they would say they are from there because others need to know where to address their mail. (James.folsom)

2024-05-13 19:19 Colonial Airlines (Canada) There has never been any such airline. This article refers to a Canadian airline that merged with a US airline, Eastern Air Lines (such things don't happen - Canadian airlines and US airlines are not permitted to merge because both countries require that their airlines remain under the control of their own citizens). It is also clearly a duplicate of the article for Colonial Airlines - an airline that did exist. Look at the destination list for instance. Prior to 1942, there were American and Canadian airlines with the same name - Canadian Colonial Airways. Yes, the US carrier was also, confusingly, called Canadian Colonial Airways. The American version was the parent, the Canadian version was the 100% subsidiary. In 1942, two things happened - the Canadian version ceased operations and the US version was renamed to Colonial Airlines. There was no Canadian version of "Colonial Airlines". Not surprisingly, some secondary sources are confused about this. (Enplaned)

I found a book by Giancarlo Zaccone that gives a short example on how to use SCOOP; however, I don't think it meets the standard for in-depth coverage. (HyperAccelerated)
2024-05-08 18:11 PyEphem (library that implements astronomical algorithms for the Python programming language) Fails WP: N. I can't find any sources that are secondary, reliable, and give the subject enough in-depth coverage to establish notability. (HyperAccelerated)
2024-05-10 22:58 Python for S60 (Programming language for smartphones) I don't think this meets WP: N. The only source I could find that could establish notability was a book review by Steve Litchfield -- since multiple independent reliable sources must provide in-depth coverage, this doesn't establish notability. If removing this PROD, please add sources to the article that would establish notablity (the Litchfield source would be fine, but one more is needed). (HyperAccelerated)
2024-05-10 23:04 Grammar-oriented programming (Language-oriented programming paradigm) Fails WP: N. The only sources I could find are all associated with a single person from IBM. (HyperAccelerated)
2024-05-10 23:20 PhpCodeGenie Fails WP: N. I found a couple passing mentions of phpCodeGenie in some papers, but nothing more than that. (HyperAccelerated)

(Enplaned)

2024-05-08 00:05 Spring (mathematics) (geometric surface in the shape of a helically coiled tube) Unsourced since its creation in 2005 (its sole footnote does not mention this topic). Appears to consist entirely of original research. Already by 2007 the talk page has apparent consensus that this is a neologism. I can find no evidence that the title has this as its standard meaning. (David Eppstein)
