Dr. Cheryl E. Ball (s2ceball on most media) directs the Digital Publishing Collaborative at Wayne State University Libraries Systems (WSULS), where she collaborates with scholars on open-access publications, particularly those that highlight researcher’s scholarly multimedia content. She is Executive Director for the Council of Editors of Learned Journals and serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Library Publishing Curriculum. Since 2006, Ball has been editor of Kairos: Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy, the world’s longest continuously running, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that exclusively publishes scholarly multimedia. She joined the journal in 2001 as a section editor. She also directs the Vega project, an open-source academic publishing platform.
