The NHL had a busy Thursday night with all but 8 teams in action. Some notable games were

Pittsburgh 5-4 shootout win over the Canadiens where Montreal came back from two goal deficites three seperate times while scoring two short handed goals.

New Jersey also battled back to time the game some time in the final minute and than
would win the game with a deflection by Brad Lucowich. Although the Flyers have earned points

in the past three games they are far from a playoff picture.

Sharks drop a 4-2 decision to the Dallas Stars in game two of the home and home
series. In the first game Dallas tied the game with 3 seconds left to send it
to overtime which would eventually lead to a shootout where the Stars are seeming unbeatable.

That game snapped the Sharks streak of 48 games without needing over time.

St. Louis and Lecavalier continue to light the lamp for Tampa Bay as the

Lightning blanked defending champs 4-0. Johan Holmqvist has been playing some vesatoskular hockey for Tampa as of late and earned his first shut out. In his past five games he has registered a save percentage

of .942 thanks to some strong games.
