Hello,

I am a final year student at the university of leicester I am reading for an MGeol Degree ( Undergraduate geology masters) I have been accepted onto a MSc in volcanology and Metallogeny, starting at the end of this year

Level of work Area
Third Year independent mapping; Dalradian of Clifden Co Galway, Republic of Ireland|
Third year Dissertation; Ignimbrite emplacement mechanisms, syn-and post-depositional processes|
Master Research Project; Distinction of contrasting large explosive eruptions from tephra shard morphology|

So, will mainly be editing in those areas, plus whatever else tickles my fancy!

Unexplained Clast

edit

???????????????????????????????????????

(Right) I have some ideas how this happened but am not certain. The clast is lithic (dense not pummice), as you can see it cuts two horizons, both horizons are ignimbrites. However to make it even more difficult, there is a Palaeosol between the two ignimbrites. Weird doesnt even begin to cover it. Feel free to add theories.
