About Me

I am currently a community college student studying Nursing. I plan on getting my MSN and becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I am very interested in social and health sciences, but also philosophy, Christian theology, and apologetics. I love the outdoors, hiking, and especially music. I was in choir for 9 years which has allowed musical expression to be my favorite form of art. I was also a cheerleader for 7 years. I am in love with the sport and will always defend the fact that it is one!
I am interested in psychology because of personal mental health experiences. My faith has also given me an interest in why people do what they do. I also love helping people and am interested in public health as well which is why I chose the PMHNP route.
As for my interest in theology, philosophy, and apologetics, my all time favorite theologian and apologist is C.S. Lewis. I believe him to be the most influential and educated apologist of the 20th century, as his work continues to impact believers and non- believers alike. My favorite book of his is The Screwtape Letters as it has heavily impacted my outlook on life.
A verse that I reflect on constantly is simply "Be anxious for nothing" (Philippians 4:6 NKJV). It is a calming reminder that if I can't do anything about a situation, I should just simply not worry about it, because worrying doesn't change the situation I'm in, it just hurts me more in the end.
I also love making and drinking different kind of espresso drinks, as I am a barista. Lattes are my favorite to drink and make! I find satisfaction in my job because of the positive outcome of making drinks, which is a happy customer! I believe in treating people with love, respect, and kindness. I fully believe that kindness makes the world go 'round and some people will use that as a weakness but I know it to be a strength!
