I'm Rosario Mendez and I'm a 23 year old journalism student. I spend the majority of my time concentrating on my college work and education - I have big dreams and it requires overwhelming dedication, something I admit I'm not a fan of. I joined Wikipedia in the hopes of gaining more experience in writing and editing articles as I hope to succeed in entertainment, fashion and geographical journalism in the future. I'm a constant spy on almost every information, movie, celebrity, political and world news site but fail to ever become a member - something I promise myself I will change every New Years.
I'm interested in a lot of things, particularly media and magazine publishing. I'm a previous PA but gave up my job due to grey hairs at 20. I like interesting and intelligent people, a good read, helping people and all forms of literature and writing. Despite being a journalism major, I don't read gossip magazines as I know the lack of truth they bring. Instead I prefer alternative publications, Oyster magazine in particular. In the larger sense I hope to write for Rolling Stone Magazine or the National Geographic or to find myself in the magcial world that is fashion as a journalist.
What I do at Wikipedia edit
I wikify! I get frustrated by the lack of structured articles and spend a lot of time changing page layouts to Wikipedia standards.
I'm a complete fashion model freak and spend most of my time adding or contributing to exisiting model profiles on Wikipedia. Below is a list of fashion models I have personally submit to the site. I'm also interested in independent film and often add newer actors and actresses to the site, aswell as contributing to my own personal favorites. I'm a closet nazi for spelling (when my non-observant eyes fumble across it) so forgive me if my edits seem small and insignificant. In saying that however, my own spelling is horrible as I have fallen out of touch with my talent thanks to spell-check. Because I'm OCD for news (of all sorts), I usually have new information fast and if it's necessary I add it to the relevant Wikipedia articles. I'm interested in politics and ethical contraversy and all things relevant to it.
