Hi everybody

Let me introduce myself: I am a mathematician, professor at the math department of the Technion (Israel institute of technology). Formerly head of department.

I have published three books so far,

Arithmetic for parents, on elementary math ed (following a few years experience of teaching math in elementary school). So far it has appeared in Hebrew, English, Portuguese and Dutch.

Mathematics, poetry and beauty, on the common mechanism by which the sensation of beauty is generated in math and in poetry. To appear soon also in Portuguese.

The cat that is not there, on the definition of the term 'philosophy'. It is from this book that the material on Newcomb's paradox is taken. In the book there is much more involved analysis of the paradox, in particular of its connection to the problem of Determinism-Free Will.
