La Om

Born: Bucharest, 1977. Two weeks after the 7.2 Richter scale earthquake that had 1424 casualties in the city.

Raised: Bucharest, before and after Ion_Iliescu's bloody 1989 coup that had 1104 casualties in the country.

Studies: Supposedly the Economics of Tourism, in fact the Tourism of Economics and of much more than that. Don't recall much of studies, but Sociology Professor Lisette Coanda's lines: "never let your brains fall asleep"

Hobbies: Hiking the mountains, enjoying the silence, living in Indian or Pakistani trains, smiling in the sun in Afghanistan, eating cheese in a sheepfold in Suhard Mountains, Romania, sipping chai in Marib, Yemen, sleeping in the nettles, next to the road in Poland or in a bus station in Yazd, Iran. And cycling across the city in Bucharest, being hit by a car and plunging into the asphalt every now and then, head up front. Getting up and smiling in the sun again, ignoring the driver caressing his phallic car.

Hates: Let them hate and love themselves, I don't want to have the time for that.

Purpose in life: To keep goin'. And hittin' the asphalt. Ever harder.
