The African American Culture Flags are the national flags of the African American people. The artwork and design was created in Hanau, Germany in 2019, the colors Red, Black and Green were taken from the Kente colors. There are four flags: Servitude, Acknowledgement, Submission and Unification, each having a distinct design which tells a story of the transition of the Alkebulan American from the arrival to the U.S. in 1619 to begin forced servitude until the present day.The flags were created as symbols of hope, unity and solidarity to a group of people who were displaced from their culture.

History

edit

The Flags where created in 2015 by members of Black Businessmen International, Project Caravan Guardian and the Return passage Rite. The flags represent the process in which the Alkebulan American has transitioned from. These flags where designed as a reminder of the conditions that our Ancestors where forced to live under in America and should not to be confused with the Pan-African flag. Although the Pan-African flag represents the African people as a race, the Alkebulan American´s suffered under different conditioned which is ubiquitous until this very day. The African American Culture Flags (Alkebulan American) was designed as a symbol of representation to honor them. |+ !Flag Number !Name Designation !Design !Represents !Date of Acceptance !Accepted By |- |HRSV-101
