Rick Wicks, born in 1946, is an American economist and freelance copy-editor (from Alaska) resident in Göteborg, Sverige (Sweden). His PhD in economics is from Göteborgs Universitet and he is active in Democrats Abroad in Göteborg as well as being a member of the board of the Streit Council for a Union of Democracies. He graduated from St. John's College (Annapolis/Santa Fe, having attended each campus for two years). He later lived and practiced for a year at San Francisco Zen Center and then for a year at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center. He now practices with Zenvägen in Göteborg.
