 Nate Farley (born May 13, 1971 in Dayton, Ohio) is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter that began playing live at the age of 15 in Dayton, Ohio with the band Haunting Souls, later writing and performing with Shutdown, and The Method.
 In 1993, Nate joined The Amps, with Kim Deal, Louis Lerma, and Jim MacPherson, at the same time working as a roadie for Guided By Voices. In 1995, The Amps released the album "Pacer", followed by touring both stateside, and abroad.
 After a failed attempt at recording a new Amps/Breeders album in New York in 1997, Farley moved back to Dayton and formed robthebank, with Heather Newkirk, Craig Nichols, and C.J. Sexson. After recording the lost album "The Last Remains Of A Minor's Veins", Farley joined Guided By Voices as rhythm guitarist,recording four albums, and touring the world, until the last note of the last Guided by voices show was played.
