Abubaker Ibrahim Chehem(Afar: Obakar Ibrahim Sehim; c. 1810 - 6 February 1885)[1] was a wealthy Afar merchant and slave-trader. He was the Pasha of Ottoman Zeila from 1855 to 1867. When his rival, Sharmake Ali, charged him of embezzling funds from the customs office, he was arrested and imprisoned for 8 months. He was later freed by Henri Lambert, the consul of Aden.[2]
