Reeve Vanneman is a sociologist at the University of Maryland.
Two research projects use Wikipedia movie plots to study cultural change since 1950 (newspapers and academic journals are other sources). One project investigates cultural changes about gender, focusing especially on images of working mothers. A second project investigates cultural changes concerning the working class, focusing especially on the rise and fall of attention to the working class.
