Ring My Droid is an application for the Android devices that enables the user to remotely ring their smartphones even if it is kept on silent mode. The purpose of this added functionality is to assist the users in finding their phones in case they misplace it while the phone is on silent or vibrate mode.[1] Ring My Droid was first released on the Google Play Store on August 4, 2013 under the "Tools" category and is available free of cost world-wide. This application requires the user to be running at-least Android version 2.1(Eclair) or above.

Usage edit
- Open the app and type in your Key Phrase. This Key Phrase is a secret phrase that is used to trigger the phone to start ringing when you need to find it.[2]
- Press the 'Set' button after you have specified the Key Phrase.
- Once you have pressed the 'Set' button, your Key Phrase is saved. Now, when you need to find you phone, just SMS the keyword to your phone from another phone or have a friend send an SMS to your phone from theirs.
- As soon as the phone receives the Key Phrase in the SMS, it will start ringing at it's full volume even when it is kept on 'Silent mode'.
- Click on the 'Found Phone' button to stop the ringing when you have found your phone.

- The Key Phrase is like a password. Anyone who knows the Key Phrase can make the user's phone ring at its full volume by sending the Key Phrase as an SMS.[3]
