Rafael Salazar(born 20 April 1944) is a Colombian artist and sculptor.

His abstract style shows a journey thru his roots, the art learned from ‘La Cueva’, his colors and the maturity of 50 years experience.

Known for Sculptures, oil painting, and digital art.

Today, Rafael is dedicated to painting an array of creations where his imagination has no boundaries; mostly using tools available in Artificial Intelligence to create Art that explores the realm of Machine Learning with a Human Touch.

Early life

Barranquilla introduced him to the world of arts amongst some of the most renowned Colombian artists from the ’Barranquilla Group’ during the La Cueva era. [1]

Career

He owned an Art Gallery in Sunny Isles Boulevard during the late 70's, where he taught young artists recently graduated from Gainesville University: “The Art of finding the Inner Artist within you”. An introspection of the artist’s own mental and emotional processes when defining which type of Art most sincerely reflects his or her artistic personality.

He continues learning about new techniques that fit current times.

Style

His collection of paintings bring an incredible display of colors, strength, and imagination characteristic of all his creations. He paints abstract, conceptual, geometric, portraits, sketches in a variety of styles without any restrictions.

During 1980 to 2011 Rafael Salazar created sculptures in Marble, Granite, and Bronze, later on, Acrylic, and Wood became his new medium; nowadays thanks to Artificial Intelligence he is able to create them digitally.
