Ragasudha Vinjamuri (aka Ragasudha Rapatwar) is a writer, journalist and classical dancer hailing from Hyderabad. A graduate from Nizam College affiliated to Osmania University, she has learnt dance from Guru Dr Uma Rama Rao in Hyderabad and gave several performances before she moved to the UK. She now lives in London since 2006 and teaches at the University of Sunderland in London at the Department of Business and Law. For her various performances on niche topics and at both the Houses of British Parliament, she has received a World Record from WRI. Her name has subsequently entered into Limca Book of Records 2018 in the Performing Arts section for her contributions to Indian Classical dance.
She has performed at key venues and festivals in India, Germany, UK and Switzerland and is the recipient of awards and titles such as Kalaa Vaaradhi (Cultural Bridge), Nrutya Nagaja, Pravasi Stree Shakti, Jnanpeeth awardee Dr C. Narayana Reddy Memorial Saptapadi Nrutya Puraskar, Nritya Kala Shiromani, Natya Kalasudha, among others.
In 2009, her poems book called Kavita Ragasudha was published with the cover page by celebrated artiste Sri Bapu. In 2016, she has transcribed and published a three hundred year old composition on Acharya Ramanuja present on palm leaf folios in the possession of British Library. She has featured on all major regional TV channels and leading publications in India, UK and Mauritius.
She has established 'Sanskruti' in Britain to empower women and children through training in cultural education.
