The Royal Oak Leprechauns are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Royal Oak, Michigan, playing in the Northwoods League. The Leprechauns play their home games at Memorial Park.
HISTORY
The Royal Oak Leprechauns were founded in 1999 as a division of the USA Prime Michigan Organization located in Birmingham, Michigan. In 2005, the team became a non-profit and in 2015, signed with the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League playing at Siena Heights University. In 2018, Leprechauns Owner and General Manager, Mark Sackett, moved the team to Memorial Park in Royal Oak where they currently play their home games.
In 2020, New York Yankees All-Star and Gold Glove winning infielder, DJ LeMahieu began supporting the Leprechauns, as a primary investor, funding numerous renovations to Memorial Park. In 2023, LeMahieu transitioned to the role of Leprechauns President.
