Yo! Yes?

Originally published in 1993, Yo! Yes? is a children's book that was written, illustrated, and published by American author Chris Raschka. Yo! Yes? was a Caldecott Medal Honor Book for 1994, which was his first significant award! The book tells the story of two lonesome boys who meet each other on a city street. They interconnected by a simple "Yo!" to which it was answered with a "Yes?" thus beginning a friendship between the two. Raschka won several additional Caldecott Medal Honor Awards for his books, including A Ball for Daisy, The Hello Goodbye Window, and many more!
