Dr. med Elif Duygu Cındık-Herbrüggen (d. 1970, Bakırköy, İstanbul). German-Turkish psychiatrist, psychotherapist and public health specialist
Dr. Cındık is the founder and chief physician of two health centers and psychiatric practices, namely NPZR - Neuro-Psychiatrisches Zentrum Riem and Neuro-Psychiatrisches Zentrum am Marienplatz in Munich, Germany. She also served as vice president of the German-Turkish communities between 2009 and 2013

Elif Duygu Cındık was born in 1970 in Istanbul, spent her childhood in Frankfurt Main, Germany. Dr. Cindik currently lives with her family in Munich.
Academic career edit
After her medical education in Frankfurt and New York, Dr. Elif Duygu Cındık completed her doctoral thesis and public health expertise at Harvard University in Boston and Beth Israel Hospital. She also worked for the German-American dialogue as a member of the board of the Harvard Club in Munich. After her doctorate studies, she also received training in the 'Clinical Effectiveness' program organized by Brigham and Womens Hospital, MGH and Harvard School of Public Health Hospitals.
After returning from the United States, she worked as an Assistant Doctor at the hospital of Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich for a while and then worked at Isar Amper Klinikum which is Germany's largest mental and nervous diseases hospital. After these years, she completed her neurology education for about 3 years in Schön Klinike.
She completed her psychiatry and psychotherapy expertise in that period of time and Dr.Cındık served as the chief physician of a team which applied intercultural treatment at the Clinic am schönen Moos hospital.
