Putrescent Stench is a novice to the Wikipedia experience (began in early August 2004). He has been reading Wikipedia for a while before that though, as he is a knowledge junkie. He got his degree in English (with an emphasis on creative_writing) from Behrend (the Erie campus of the Pennsylvania State University). Thus his interests lie mainly in literature, though he is also interested in philosophy, religion, and science, particularly paleontology.
His favorite writers are Franz Kafka, Sherwood Anderson, J. G. Ballard, Samuel Beckett, Jorge Luis Borges, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, James Joyce, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Flannery O'Connor, Rainer Maria Rilke, Salman Rushdie, William Shakespeare, Gertrude Stein, and William Butler Yeats. He has already made some significant additions and edits for the Franz Kafka page, and hopes to expand it more in the future, including writing articles for each of his major works that haven't been written yet. He also wants to write pages for writers who aren't on Wikipedia yet, such as Robert Sukenick, Lynn Emanuel, and Eric Baus (he's already added a Galway Kinnell page), as well as lengthen stubs for some writers, such as Ramsey Campbell.
He'd also like to work on some paleontology articles, particularly those dealing with dinosaurs, as many saurians are woefully missing (such as Ouranosaurus, Protoceratops, Baryonyx). He's already written a Spinosaurus article. And many that do exist are stubs, such as the Deinonychus page.
Anyone who wants to comment, criticize, or just chat, feel free to leave messages at his talk page. He's very interested in becoming a more active contributor to Wikipedia, which he thinks is the greatest idea since pesto (his favorite food).
