Alexander Asiedu (born June 10, 1956) is a Ghanaian-born businessman who has served as a director of a number of corporations.

Starting his carrier as the Founder and Chairman of Atlantic Trust Holdings Limited, Alex has business investments in number of fields such as Medical Technology, Electronic Commerce, Financial Services, Natural Mineral Water, Steel Manufacturing, Real Estate Development, Property Management, Warehousing, Energy Services, Mining, Equipment Hiring & Haulage Services, Electronic Products, Banking, Hospitality & Charity Services. He also facilitates business development between Asia & Africa.
Alex is the Chairman of Zoccus Limited, a medical information company which is partners with the American company SeedNet Solutions.[1][2] He is the Chairman of Atlantic Holdings Limited which is competitively positioned with its headquarters in Dubai and with presence in Africa, Asia and Middle East.[3]
Alex is also the Chairman of Special Steels Limited, a leading steel manufacturing company in Ghana engaged in the production and manufacturing of iron rods and reinforced bars for the construction industry.[1] Alex also chairs Toro-Atlantic Global, a joint venture business with Toro-Tech Company of China.[4][4] Alex is currently the Chairman of The Sun Publishing Ghana Limited, which publishes a weekend news paper called “The Weekend Sun” This is a subsidiary of The Sun Publishing Limited, Nigeria.[1]
He also holding the Chairman position of Durnem Atlantic Minerals Ltd., a Nigerian coal, gold, diamond and tin-mining company. Alex further chairs African Rights Initiative International (ARII).[5] A non-profit and non-governmental African humanitarian network, ARII has been granted “Special Consultative Status” by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of The United Nations. program, funds and agencies.[5]
Alex Asiedu is a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Club (Advisory Board) of the University of Cape Coast.[1][6] He is also a Consultant to Wilmar Africa Limited, a subsidiary of Wilmar International Limited, the leading Asia Agribusiness group of Singapore, which presently owns the “Frytol” edible oil brand and Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) in Ghana.[7] He has worked as an Investment Banker for sixteen years with JP Morgan Chase in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group as a Vice President.[1]
He was also instrumental as a team member in most of Motorola’s acquisitions in the 1990s. For three years, Alex Asiedu served as the Managing Director of Continental Telecom Group, Inc, a group put together by Motorola to own and operate its African Gateway in the Iridium Project. He has further served as an External Consultant to the African Development Bank (ADB).[7]
