Anissa Sutton was born on December 25, 1976, in Saint-Etienne, France. She completed her Baccalauréat Littéraire in Saint-Étienne and earned a DEUG (Diplôme d'Études Universitaires Générales) in Langue, Littérature, Civilisation Étrangère from the University of Paris IV - La Sorbonne.[4] Despite facing limited support for her passion for music and the arts from her family, her determination drove her to succeed. In 2017, Sutton relocated to Los Angeles, immersing herself in the city’s vibrant entertainment scene and establishing the foundation for her future career in music and publishing.

Under her leadership, the publication has grown significantly, attracting nearly 456,544 website views annually and over 20,000 subscribers.

Pump It Up Magazine covers a broad spectrum of topics beyond music, including fashion, film, beauty, fitness, wellness, books, food, and cultural events. It is known for its exclusive interviews, in-depth features, and practical tips aimed at helping readers excel in their respective fields.
