On average, the GOCE receives about 500 requests for copy-editing each year. In the course of its existence, the Guild has responded to more than five thousand requests for copy-editing, helping a portion of those articles to reach Good Article, A-Class and Featured Article status, and making many others clearer and easier to read. Statistics from our extensive archive of requests between the start of archiving on 2 September 2010 and 31 December 2019 show we processed 5,275 requests for copy-editing. Not all of those requests were copy-edited; some were declined, withdrawn or abandoned for various reasons. No requests were archived between 1 October 2011 and 1 January 2012. The Requests page is almost always busy, especially at this time when COVID-19 lockdowns are in force in many countries. As of my timestamp, we have 58 requests pending, which will keep us going for a while. Baffle☿gab 23:17, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
