Katrin Roth

Katrin Roth is a contemporary artist who was born in Greifswald in the Baltic Sea. She currently lives and works in Duisburg, Germany. Her work focuses on land spaces and nature therefore she travels to many places to get new view to pain about. She owns a camping van which have allowed her to travek on the road and save money as well expierence nature, first hand. She has travled to many places such as Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Faroe Island. Her painting are oil and acrylic based on paper and canvas. Lots of her painting are also in a series form, sort of like a continuation of the last.

  • 2006-2011, Katrin Roth she studied painting and graphics in Bochum (2011 she recieved her diploma)
  • 2010 Katrin attended a masters class taugh by Professor Sonnewend
  • 2017 she became a member of BBK Niederrhein which is an organizataion/ association that allows artist to find exhibitions to diplay their art

The name of this painting is Summer Rain and it was inspired by the Sweden light during the summer. This painting was created in 2023 during her vacation to the Island Oland.
