New Nigeria People's Party edit

The New Nigeria People's Party is a far-right[6] political party in Nigeria, predominantly active in Kano State. It contested the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, but its standard-bearer and leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, came in 4th place, carrying only one state, its stronghold of Kano.[7]

Ideology edit

The NNPP is generally described as holding far-right or syncretic views, with far-right social stances and somewhat leftist economic policies.[10] This type of syncretisation is sometimes known as the Third Position.[11]

Albert Lluberas is an Uruguayan politician serving as the Executive Secretary of the Antarctic Treaty System.

Early Career edit

Lluberas was originally a member of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources, and was subsequently appointed to the post of Secretary-General of the Uruguayan Antarctic Programme, followed by a stint as the Uruguayan representative to the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting.[12]

Executive Secretary edit

Lluberas was elected to the post of ATS Executive Secretary in 2017 and again in 2021;[13] he serves in that capacity as the chief executive of the condominium government of Antarctica[14] as well as its “highest authority”[15].
