'Dave Shelton' (cartoonist/writer) is an award winning film and television writer/director/cartoonist/voice actor living in Los Angeles, CA. He created the Hackidu characters for Everybody Loves Raymond (2000) and has illustrated Tweety and Sylvester for Warner Bros.' consumer products. From 1992-1997 he was a senior writer/cartoonist for the legendary humor franchise National Lampoon. His other credits include a cartoonist and writer for Tiger Beat Magazine, and is the producer/creator/director/writer of the sitcom Against Type (starring Roland Kickinger, Jennette McCurdy and Jillian Clare) that is airing on the Global Broadcasting Company[1] network in Europe.

Dave was born in Passaic, New Jersey in 1958 and graduated from the University of Florida and the New School in NYC. He worked for Nickelodeon and MTV as a production and promotions artist during the 1980's, illustrated several children's books including the storybook/cd The Lemming Shepherds (Noble Music). He sold a toy line of dinosaur characters to Imperial Toys[2] out of Los Angeles in 1989 and the line sold out within a few years. Dave has illustrated for Tim Allen and Robert Wuhl, was part of the essential stand up comedy book Comic Lives (Simon and Schuster)[3], and became part of Comic Relief[4] by producing and illustrating for the National Lampoon Dirty Cartoons book collection. In 2000 Dave created the Hackidu characters for the episode "Hackidu"[5] for the popular sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond".
